QualECAD View3D is a dimensionally accurate 3D viewer for the Protel printed circuit board layout system. With View3D, you can: **Validate your PCB layout before sending it out for fabrication. **Better communicate your design intentions to fabrication/assembly/engineering/test personnel. **View any combination of layers in each view including copper layers, internal planes, silkscreen, solder mask, paste mask, substrate layers (core and prepreg), holes, hole plating, and solder reflow. **Examine all or part of the board from any angle or distance with continuous Rotate/Zoom/Pan navigation. **Display dimensionally accurate components that have been imported from any mechanical CAD or graphics application that exports VRML. **Display components as box outlines based on heights that you assign to components in the PCB layout. **Export the board/components/mounting holes back out to MCAD (via VRML or IDF) to design/validate mechanical fit. **View the exported board/components/mounting holes using any web browser (with free VRML plug in). **See any combination of features that have been selected in the PCB layout (e.g. connected copper) as high-lighted elements in the 3D views. **Print full color 3D renderings or save them as bitmap files.
